O βουλευτής Andrew Dismore αθωώνει την τουρκική εισβολή!
Κατάπτυστο προσβλητικό για την Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία, τον Πρόεδρο Χριστόφια και τους Ελληνοκύπριους είναι το προσχέδιο ψηφίσματος που κατέθεσε στη Βουλή των Κοινοτήτων ο Εργατικός βουλευτής, Andrew Dismore, το οποίο υπέγραψαν, δυστυχώς, ακόμα 13 βουλευτές προφανώς επειδή το πρότεινε ο υποτιθέμενος “φίλος” της Κύπρου!
Με το ψήφισμα, ο ΄Αντριου Ντίσμορ δικαιλογεί και αθωώνει τη βάρβαρη τουρκική εισβολή, την οποία ονομάζει “γεγονότα του 1974” και αδιάντροπα την εξισώνει με “παρόμοια γεγονότα του 1963-64 και του 1958”! Αγνοεί εντελώς τη συνεχιζόμενη τουρκική κατοχή, δέχεται την τουρκοποίηση της Κύπρου, υιοθετώντας την τουρκική ονομασία του Λιμνίτη ως “Yesillirmak” και επαινεί (και τις δύο κοινότητες) για την αποναρκοθέτηση της νεκρής ζώνης, αν και αυτή έγινε μονομερώς από την Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία, αφού ο τουρκικός κατοχικός στρατός αρνείται κάτι τέτοιο στην περιοχή που ελέγχει.
Ο “διπρόσωπος” ΄Αντριου Ντίσμορ επείγεται να εξευρεθεί λύση στο Κυπριακό έως τον Δεκέμβριο για ένα λόγο: να αρθεί το εμπόδιο για την έκθεση προόδου της Τουρκίας από την Ευρωπαική Ένωση και ν΄ανοίξει ο δρόμος για την τουρκική ένταξη.
Στην αναφορά του “διπρόσωπου” Εργατικού Βουλευτή, στις απ΄ευθείας συνομιλίες, για πρώτη φορά σε κείμενο στη Βουλή των Κοινοτήτων δεν μνημονεύεται πουθενά ο Πρόεδρος της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας με το πραγματικό του αξίωμα, που αναγνωρίζει η Βρετανία και όλος ο κόσμος. Αντίθετα, αναφέρεται “ξερά” και σίγουρα ύποπτα και πονηρά, στους “δύο ηγέτες Δημήτρη Χριστόφια και Μεχμέτ Αλί Ταλάτ”.
Ως τώρα η φρασεολογία ήταν “ο Πρόεδρος Χριστόφιας και ο Τ/κ ηγέτης Ταλάτ”. Μπορεί να ακολουθούσε στο κείμενο άλλων ψηφισμάτων το “οι ηγέτες των δύο κοινοτήτων”, αλλά πάντοτε προτασσόταν η σωστή θέση του καθενός.
Επίσης, ο “διπλοπρόσωπος” Ντίσμορ εξισώνει την καταστροφή που έφερε η τουρκική εισβολή του 1974 και την τραγωδία των αγνοουμένων με τους Τ/κ που σκοτώθηκαν στις ενδοκοινοτικές συγκρούσεις, κατά την εκδήλωση της τουρκοανταρσίας το 1963-64 και θυμήθηκε ο Ντενκτάς το...1997 ότι είναι αγνοούμενοι!
Το ψήφισμα που κατέθεσε ο Άντριου Ντίσμορ το πήραν ήδη οι Τούρκοι και το προβάλλουν παντού.
Τέτοιοι ανέλπιστο δώρο εξυπηρετεί την προπαγάνδα τους, υπηρετεί την Τουρκία και προωθεί τη λύση δύο κρατών που επιδιώκει η τουρκική πλευρά.
Εμείς απλώς λέμε ότι η Παροικία μας πρέπει να ανοίξει τα μάτια της και να μη μείνει απαθής σε τέτοιες φιλοτουρκικές προκλήσεις. Καταρχήν, πρέπει να σταλούν επιστολές διαμαρτυρίας στους υπογράφοντες βουλευτές και έπειτα να ξέρουν οι συμπατριώτες μας τι θα ψηφίσουν στις εκλογές την επόμενη χρονιά. Ο ΄Αντριου Ντίσμορ με τις πράξεις του βρίσκεται αντίθετος με το δίκαιο και την ηθική και εναρμονίζεται με τις τουρκικές θέσεις στο Κυπριακό ακι τα γενικότερα συμφέροντα της Τουρκίας.

Παραθέτουμε αυτούσιο το κατάπτυστο προσχέδιο ψηφίσματος που πρότεινε ο Ντίσμορ και οι άλλοι υπογράφοντες, ώστε όσοι συμπατριώτες μας έχουν “αίμα” μέσα τους να αισθανθούν τη φρίκη.

That this House welcomes the commitment shown by the two Cypriot leaders, Demetris Christofias and Mehmet Ali Talat, under the auspices of the United Nations, in persevering in the ongoing unity talks; further welcomes their agreement to open the Limnitis-Yesilirmak crossing; commends the work of the Missing Persons Committee in discovering and returning remains of both Greek and Turkish Cypriot missing to their families and the extensive demining of the buffer zone; urges the leaders to expedite the process for a historic solution by Cypriots for Cypriots, particularly on the 35th anniversary of the events of 1974; recalls previous such incidents in 1963-64 and the late 1950s; further recalls with regret the suffering of all Cypriot people; and looks forward to a future when a peaceful, reunited Cyprus will be a partner not an enemy of Turkey, and vice versa, removing one of the obstacles for Turkey in December's Accession Report and on its path to the EU generally, while vastly improving relations between Britain's allies, contributing to regional peace, prosperity and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Andrew Dismore MP exonerates the Turkish invasion!
Despicable, insulting for the Republic of Cyprus, President Christofias and the Greek Cypriots, is the Early Day motion initiated by Labour MP, Andrew Dismore, and which unfortunately has been signed by another 13 MPs, presumably because it was proposed by the so called “friend” of Cyprus!
With this Early Day Motion, Andrew Dismore condones and exonerates the barbaric Turkish invasion, which he calls “events of 1974” and unashamedly equals with “previous such incidents in 1963-64 and the late 1950s”. He totally ignores the continuing Turkish occupation, h accepts the Turkification of Cyprus, adopting the Turkish renaming of Limnitis as “yesillirmak” and praises (both communities) for the demining of the buffer zone, although this was unilaterally done by the Republic of Cyprus since the Turkish army of occupation refuses to do same in the area under its control.
The “double-faced” Andrew Dismore is in a hurry for a solution to the Cyprus problem until December for one reason: to lift the obstacles in view of the European Union progress report vis-à-vis Turkey so that the road for Turkey’s entry will open.
In his text the “double-faced” Labour MP, where he refers to the direct talks, for the first time in a House of Commons text there is no reference whatsoever to the President of the Republic with his actual status, which Britain recognises and so does the rest of the world.
On the contrary, he refers “simply” surely suspiciously and cunningly, to the “two leaders Demetris Christofias and Mehmet Ali Talat”.
Up to now, the wording used was “ President Christofias and the T/c leader Talat”. There might have followed in the text references to other motions “the leaders of two communities”, but the right reference to the position of each always was included.
Also, the “double-faced” Dismore equals the catastrophe inflicted by the Turkish invasion of 1974 and the tragedy of the missing with those T/cs who were killed during the inter-communal conflicts as a result of the Turkish attacks of 1963-64 and whom Denktash remembers that they were missing in…1997!
Andrew Dismore’s Early Day Motion has already been picked up by the Turks who are already promoting it widely.
Such an unexpected present only serves the Turkish propaganda, serves Turkey and promotes the solution of two states the Turkish side is demanding.
We simply say to our community that it must open its eyes and not to stay in apathy in the light of such pro-Turkish provocations. To start with, protest letters must be sent to all those MPs who have signed the EDM and secondly they should know what to vote come the next general election in the coming year.
Through his actions Andrew Dismore is on the opposite side of justice and ethics and he is in line with Turkish policy over Cyprus and the general interests of Turkey.
